Every spring, millions of people watch the IPL. Some have followed it since 2008. Others are watching for the first time and wondering what an Impact Player is.
We write for both. Our articles give newcomers the basics in plain language and give long-time fans the history, the numbers and the stories behind them.
- Season reviews and big-match stories
- Player profiles and record-breaking moments
- Stadium guides, rivalries and IPL history
- Plain-English explainers on rules and format
Newsroom Principles
Check it twice
Scores, records and dates are checked against official scorecards before a story goes live.
All ten teams
No favourites. Every franchise and every fan base gets the same fair treatment.
Plain English
No jargon without an explanation. If a new fan can't follow it, we rewrite it.
Independent
We aren't affiliated with the BCCI, the IPL or any franchise. Opinions are clearly marked as analysis.
